| 1 | If you want to take your vehicle on «Le Shuttle», all you have to do is drive to the terminal in Folkestone (UK) or in Coquelles near Calais (France), present your ticket, proceed through the French/British customs and immigration controls, and follow the indicated route into the Shuttle carriages. There are no other formalities after the 35-minute journey, and in a few minutes after arrival you can drive straight away - but on the other side of the road! Le Shuttle can transport all types of cars, motorcycles and lorries through the Channel Tunnel. You can take as many people as you want in your Car, you just pay for the car. The price depends on the category of the vehicle and on the time of travel. (peak periods are more expensive), but not on the number of passengers. Tickets may be paid for in cash (pounds sterling or French francs) at both terminals, or by credit cards. There are other trains through the Channel : «The Eurostar» is the train that connects Brussels, London and Paris. How fast do Eurostar trains travel? Eurostar trains can travel as fast as 186 mph (300 kph).
